Fremont Therapy Group and Rocky Mountain have come together in a merger. Rocky Mountain is a well-respected outpatient physical therapy clinic that has been serving the Rock Springs area under the direction of Michelle Cook, since 2000.
Michelle enjoys the clinical aspect of being a physical therapist and, while she is proud to have founded Rocky Mountain nearly 17 years ago, she has a deep desire to focus primarily in the clinical realm. Along with Michelle, Rocky Mountain has a strong core staff that will continue to provide the same high level of care that both FTG and Rocky Mountain are known for. Every member of the Rocky Mountain team comes with great knowledge, skills and abilities that will only add to ours, so we look forward to growing with them. We will be introducing each of the staff individually over the next several weeks.
Jeff Alcorn, PT, DPT has been with FTG since 2015 and is heading this new team as the Clinic Director in Rock Springs.

Jeff Alcorn - PT, DPT Clinic Director/Owner
Jeff was drawn to a career in physical therapy after seeing the need for skilled rehabilitation through his involvement in athletics and employment in a Physical Therapy Clinic during college.Jeff enjoys working with a wide array of patients including those recovering from sports injuries, surgery, and neurological conditions among others. He is passionate about working with patients to help them achieve their goals and return to their prior activities and hobbies, so they are able to live life to the fullest! Jeff has a special interest in sports medicine, manual therapy, and orthopedics, and hopes to continue to further his experience and education in these and other areas in the future. Jeff also completed his Level 1 certification in dry needling, a manual technique using small filiform needles to address secondary effects of neuromuscular conditions, tissues that can contribute to pain, headaches, or other disability, and aimed at further improving movement and function. Jeff is also a certified functional capacity evaluator, which allows him to evaluate individuals’ capacity to perform work activities related to his or her employment.
Jeff earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology from Chadron State College. He played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track at Chadron High School, in Nebraska, and continued playing football and basketball at Chadron State.
Jeff moved to Wyoming with his wife, who is a Green River native. Outside of work they continue to enjoy playing sports, doing various outdoor activities, attending sporting events, traveling, and spending time with family.
Michelle E. Cook – PT, WCC Owner
Michelle is the founder and partial owner of Rocky Mountain Sports & Physical Therapy, LLC.
She graduated from the University of Utah Physical Therapy Program and is currently working on her Doctorate.
Michelle has worked in Rock Springs for over 30 years, 17 years in private practice. She has credentials in wound care from the Wound Care Education Institute as well as extensive training in women's health issues including incontinence and osteoporosis. Michelle also has training in SFMA and FMS and am certified in Functional Dry Needling through Kinetacore and LearnIMS.
Michelle is married to Stan with three grown children: Chris, Ryan, and Megan. Outside of work she enjoys hiking with her two dogs, shoeing, cross country skiing and tennis.
Ryan Cook PT, DPT
Ryan Cook brings a lifetime of interest to the field of physical therapy. Ryan uses evidence-based treatments to diagnose and care for individuals of all ages who have conditions that limit their ability to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives. She also works with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.In either treatment scenario, Ryan enjoys spending one on one time with each patient to create their own unique treatment plan. In addition, Ryan has advanced training in sports performance, orthopedics, and in the areas of functional movement and mechanical fault correction.
Ryan earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Black Hills State University where she played short-stop on the BHSU softball team. From there, she continued her education at the University of North Dakota where she graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During Ryan’s time at UND, she participated in cutting edge research including a study using NASA 3-dimensional technology to determine the impacts of bare-foot versus shod running.
Ryan is happy to be treating patients in her hometown of Rock Springs and is looking forward to giving back to the town that raised her. She credits her physical therapist mother, Michelle Cook, as the inspiration for her chosen career path. She grew up watching the positive impact her mom had on patients’ lives and plans to continue that legacy of hometown, quality, patient care. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys softball, volleyball, biking, fishing, hiking, and spending time at the family cabin.
Normajean Driscoll PT, DPT, CSCS
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Normajean enjoys being involved in healthcare as part of the solution, rather than simply treating symptoms a patient may have. Normajean has a passion for strength and conditioning and implements this expertise with her patient treatment. She welcomes the challenge that comes with properly loading advanced patients, but also adores working with the geriatric population to decrease the risk of falls and improve their independence using strength training.She loves getting to know people and finding out what makes them unique. Normajean thrives on the fact that physical therapy allows her to be creative in addressing the issues one may be facing, while also being allowed the time to truly delve into who her patients are and establish a relationship. Rural healthcare is where Normajean has found her niche--she thrives off the variety and intricate patient cases found in the small town setting.
Normajean attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney for her undergraduate degree in exercise science. She then earned her doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. In addition, Normajean has completed her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. This CSCS certification allows Normajean to use scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance by conducting sport-specific testing sessions, designing and implementing safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs, in addition providing guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention.
A Nebraska native, Normajean, her husband, and golden retriever have all embraced the hiking and exploring that comes with the Wyoming way of life. She also enjoys weightlifting and has successfully competed in Strong Man competitions.
Stacey Powell - Physical Therapy Technician
Stacey comes to Fremont Therapy Group with many years of personal training experience and a passion for health and fitness. Her love for exercise helps her provide a high level of support to our physical therapists and our patients. She is energetic and personable and especially enjoys getting to know each of our patients. Hearing their stories is both inspirational and motivating for her. It’s a good day for Stacey when she can see someone she’s been working with feel healthier and enjoy life more.
Stacy spent several years in the Army National Guard after graduating from high school. She deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2010. These days she is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, with plans to graduate in the next couple of years. She also enjoys competing in bodybuilding competitions.
Stacy is from Louisiana and has been a Wyoming resident for nearly five years. She is raising her two boys with her wonderful husband who works for the highway patrol. Wyoming is the perfect fit for their young and active family.
Morgan Espino PTA
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, Morgan works alongside our Physical Therapists to treat various types of orthopedic cases utilizing therapeutic exercise and manual therapies. In clinic she strives to provide quality, evidence-based patient care. Morgan has special interest in pediatric populations and works with school districts to provide physical therapy services for school age children in our community. Morgan feels honored to be a part of a patient’s journey toward higher function and healing.
Morgan earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a health minor from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She then pursued her Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapy Assistant from Lonestar College in Montgomery, TX.
A Texas transplant, Morgan is embracing the Wyoming way of life and enjoys camping in our vast landscapes. She also spends time traveling to California and Texas to visit family, and is a movie buff.
Nikki Morris - Patient Care Coordinator
Nikki Morris is the administrative lead for the Rock Springs office and the welcoming, friendly face that greets patients and guests upon arrival. She works with patients to collect the necessary documentation, confirms insurance coverage and schedules their physical therapy appointments. She also plays an important role in working with community members and the medical professionals we serve to ensure communication between our clinics and their practices are effective and efficient.
Nikki, originally from Michigan, moved to Arizona to attend Glendale Community College. She is currently working towards her associate degree in science and plans to become a physical therapist or athletic trainer. Watching patients progress and push themselves to new limits puts a smile on her face.
Outside of work, Nikki loves snowboarding, biking, hiking and spending time with her husband.
Chris Cook - Physical Therapy Tech
Chris is our PTT in the Rock Springs clinic. He recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Wyoming. There he played club tennis and also coached the high school team to a state title.
Outside of work he enjoys softball, bikes, and golf in the summer or handball and pickleball in the winter.
